Dr. Theresa Daher

Director of Field Veterinary Operations

Dr. Theresa Daher is the Director of Field Veterinary Operations at Lebanese Wildlife and a key member of the medical response team. With a deep-rooted commitment to animal welfare, she plays a critical role in emergency wildlife rescues, often responding to urgent cases late at night to stabilize animals and give them a fighting chance until full treatment can be provided.

Dr. Daher’s field expertise was greatly enriched through her internship with Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand, where she trained as a wildlife veterinary intern and gained hands-on experience with a wide variety of exotic and injured animals. Her international perspective and practical skills have added significant value to the Lebanese Wildlife team, especially in the care and handling of complex wildlife cases.

Beyond her veterinary work, Dr. Daher is also a scout leader with over a decade of experience in wilderness survival, navigation, leadership, and community education. Her background in scouting brings a unique strength to the team, combining resilience, field readiness, and a natural ability to lead and educate others in outdoor and high-stress environments. Dr. Daher continues to be an inspiring force in wildlife rescue, blending science, compassion, and field expertise to protect Lebanon’s biodiversity.

Lebanese Wildlife (LW) is a dedicated environmental conservation NGO, founded in June 2020. Born from a passion for animal welfare, LW has been at the forefront of rescuing and rehabilitating injured, orphaned, and trafficked local wildlife.
