Samara is the first zoologist in Lebanon and a dedicated wildlife conservation expert. As a member of Lebanese Wildlife’s board of directors and an invaluable project manager, she brings extensive knowledge and passion to every rescue and research initiative.

She leads the wildlife conservation training program for @ycc_lebanon, equipping the next generation with essential knowledge about wildlife and conservation. Additionally, Samara serves as the Conservation Training Officer at Durrell Conservation Academy, sharing her expertise with an international audience. Her commitment to conservation was further recognized when she represented Lebanese Wildlife at Oxford University, highlighting Lebanon’s conservation efforts on a global stage.

Samara’s fieldwork spans continents and species. From studying bats and otters in Lebanon to tracking wolves in Ukraine and researching snow leopards in Russia, her efforts reflect a deep dedication to understanding and protecting wildlife. A relentless advocate for conservation, Samara plays a crucial role in Lebanese Wildlife’s rescue operations, offering expert guidance and support.

Her unwavering dedication and groundbreaking achievements have left a lasting impact on Lebanese Wildlife and the global conservation community.

Lebanese Wildlife (LW) is a dedicated environmental conservation NGO, founded in June 2020. Born from a passion for animal welfare, LW has been at the forefront of rescuing and rehabilitating injured, orphaned, and trafficked local wildlife.
